[Workshop] How to Make Your Own Photo Book with Louis Lim

Join professional book-maker Louis Lim in exploring ideas on making photo books. In this free interactive workshop over Zoom, you’ll learn the various possibilities in creating a photo book such as: design, image sequencing, paper, binding, and options for publishing. Louis will also cover why it is still relevant to create photo books, and the functions it has in the creative environment.

About Louis Lim

Louis Lim teaches the art of bookmaking at photo events around the world, like at this masterclass in Japan.

Louis is a Brisbane, Australia-based photographer and bookmaker whose work explores the diversity in human conditions, specifically those that are under-represented in mainstream media.

He currently works as a freelance photographer, a coordinator at Liveimage photographic printing studio, and  teaches Photography at Queensland College of Art, Griffith University

Lim has exhibited in several Australian galleries and presented internationally.

Louis Lim’s work in collaboration with Beth Jackson, ‘… there is no end’, has been shortlisted in Singapore International Photography Festival Photo Book Showcase 2018, and 2018 Libris Award with acquisition by Artspace Mackay.

He has also exhibited and showcase his artist book in Central Embassy Open House as part of Photo Bangkok Festival, Reminders Photography Stronghold in Tokyo, Melbourne Art Bookfair, Tokyo Art Bookfair and OBSCURA Festival of Photography in Penang, Malaysia.
